The Apocalypse (from the Greek for “revelation”) of the apostle known as John the Divine is not a description of horrific prospects that sows panic and despair. It is a very great book of hope and forewarning, since retribution will come sooner or later. Good will triumph all the same! That is why each person has to make a choice of which side to be on – light or darkness: “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Rev. 22:7)
Work on a bibliophilic edition The Revelation of Saint John the Divine The Apocalypse began in October 2008. The first copy of the book was completed in July 2019.

The text used for the publication was taken from the Bible published by the Moscow Patriarchate in 1988 to mark the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus’ (the adoption of Christianity by the Eastern Slavs). It was typeset by hand in the Palmira and Obyknovennaya novaya typefaces and printed on a 19th-century Dingler hand press.
The book contains 26 illustrations executed in the now rare mezzotint technique by the outstanding Saint Petersburg graphic artist Yury Borovitsky, whose work is closely akin to the figurative traditions of the late 19th-century German Symbolists.
The cover is made with dark crimson leather and the book is embellished with bronze reliefs designed by the artist Sergei Kondrashkin.
The title is placed on the spine, while the front cover carries a depiction of the beast with seven heads and ten horns rising out of the sea, the embodiment of universal evil.
The endpapers are made of Spanish silk. The book has a storage case decorated with fabric.
