Igor Baranov

Born in Leningrad in 1983.
  
Graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Academic Art Lyceum named after B.V. Ioganson in 2001 and the graphic art faculty of the Saint Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin in 2007.
  
Painter and graphic artist. Has taught painting, drawing and composition at the Repin Institute’s branch in Kotka, Finland since 2009. Awarded grants from the Russian Ministry of Culture and Russian Artists’ Union (2008, 2015). Participant in over 50 exhibitions in Russia and abroad, including 18 personal ones. Prize-winner in exhibitions and competitions in the graphic art category (2000, 2005, 2008). Member of the Artists’ Union of Russia from 2011.
  
His works can be found in the State Hermitage, the National Library of Russia and the Research Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg, the D.A. Rovinsky House of Graphic Art in Moscow, Art Centre Salmela in Finland, Fine Arts Museum of the Republic of Karelia and other museums in Russia and abroad (China, Finland, Ukraine), as well as private collections in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, the USA and South Korea.
